Hola!

My name is Maddison, and welcome to my blog. I have created this blog as a way for me to share my thoughts, feelings and useful tips with likeminded travellers. I felt now was the perfect time to begin blogging as I commence my trip around the beautiful country that is España, or as we call it here in Australia, Spain.

It is extremely difficult to quickly summarise what travel means to me. Put simply, I crave travel, and the thought of the unknown is one that excites me, and one that I want to throw myself into. Every time I travel, whether it be to a different state in my home country or a different country altogether, I learn more about myself that I would not have discovered if I had just stayed at home, secure in my comfort zone. I believe travel is one of, if not the best way to learn more about myself, as well as the world; more than can be portrayed through Instagram photos and other people’s stories.

Spain is a country that I have been drawn to and had a budding interest in since I spent time in America last year, and I became aware of how many countries actually speak Spanish. I was fortunate enough to become close friends with two incredible people from Mexico, who inspired me to learn the Spanish language. Upon returning home, I immediately began teaching myself Spanish, and then went on to study it at university. I have fallen in love with Spain and have had a desire to travel around the country ever since I began learning the beautiful language. Fast forward to now, and that dream is coming true!

Anyway, thats enough about me for now, and I hope you enjoy and are able to appreciate the beauty of Spain just as much as I do.
